On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Om Prakash Mathur has extended his greetings to the people of Sikkim and countrymen.
In his message, the Hon’ble Governor said, “This year’s celebration of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is particularly special as it marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. Due to his vision and acumen that India is one and united. Sardar Patel played a significant role in the freedom struggle, while after independence also dedicated his life to the Unity and Integrity of the country.
In a border state like Sikkim, where diversity is our identity, Sardar Patel’s spirit of unity holds special significance. We must imbibe his ideals and move forward on the path of greater social harmony, national integrity, and development.
May this Rashtriya Ekta Diwas further strengthen the spirit of unity, integrity, social harmony and remain committed to realise the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.”

राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस — सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल की 150वीं जयंती पर सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने देश एवं राज्य वासियों को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं दीं हैं।
अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, ” भारत के एकीकरण के शिल्पी, लौह पुरुष, सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल जी की 150वीं जयंती के पावन अवसर पर देश एवं राज्य वासियों को शुभकामनाएं प्रेषित करता हूँ।
यह दिन हमें सरदार पटेल जी के अद्वितीय नेतृत्व, दूरदृष्टि और राष्ट्रभक्ति का स्मरण कराता है जिन्होंने भारत को एक सूत्र में पिरोया।
सरदार पटेल जी ने न केवल स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में अग्रणी भूमिका निभाई, बल्कि स्वतंत्र भारत की नींव को मजबूती देने में भी ऐतिहासिक योगदान दिया। उनकी दृढ़ इच्छाशक्ति, प्रशासनिक दक्षता और समावेशी दृष्टिकोण आज भी हमारे लिए प्रेरणा का स्रोत हैं।
सिक्किम जैसे सीमांत राज्य में, जहां विविधता हमारी पहचान है, सरदार पटेल जी की एकता की भावना विशेष रूप से प्रासंगिक है। हमें उनके विचारों को आत्मसात कर और अधिक सामाजिक समरसता, राष्ट्रीय अखंडता और विकास के पथ पर अग्रसर होना होगा।
