The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, gave audience to the Sikkim Strength Lifting team led by their coach Shri Pema Dorjee Bhutia at Raj Bhavan today.

The Sikkim Strength Lifting team apprised the Hon’ble Governor on their recent participation in the “11th World Strength Lifting and Incline Bench Press Championship,” which took place in Kazakhstan from July 15 to July 19, 2024. They reported that India emerged as the overall champion among the 12 participating countries, with Sikkim securing 28 medals.

The Hon’ble Governor congratulated the participants, recognizing their achievements as a source of national pride. He encouraged them to continue their dedication and extended his best wishes for their future endeavours.
