The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur participated in the concluding day of the National Conference of Governors held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, today. The conference, chaired by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, was a significant event bringing together key figures from across the Indian administrative spectrum.
In attendance were the Hon’ble Vice President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar; Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi; Hon’ble Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah; Governors and Lt. Governors, Union Ministers, officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, and the President’s Secretariat, along with Secretaries to all Governors and Lt. Governors.
During the conference, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, being part of technical session of Breakaway Group 6 participated in the special presentation and briefing to the Hon’ble President, highlighting the pivotal role of Governors in enhancing coordination between various state agencies and organizations. This coordination is crucial for achieving the common national goal of “Viksit Bharat @2047” – a vision for a developed India by the year 2047.
The presentation by the Hon’ble Governor also highlighted key initiatives of Raj Bhavan, Sikkim covering diverse arena of activities such as Governor’s Pratibha Protsahan Yojana,Sports and Youth Development, Women Empowerment through Self Help Groups by creating sustainable livelihood opportunity, assistance to vibrant village community, special interventions and collaboration with Universities and institutions of higher learning and many more.
