06.09.2024 : Message of Hon’ble Governor on the occasion of “Teej”.

On the auspicious occasion of  “Teej” the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur extends warm greetings to the people of Sikkim.

In his message, he quoted, Teej is a significant festival that celebrates the reunion of the goddess Parvati with her husband, Lord Shiva. It also includes elaborate rituals and cultural festive celebrations.

As Teej brings communities together in celebration, it also serves as a reminder of the enduring power of faith and devotion. It also refreshes us that as communities we all must unite together and exhibit the strength of “Unity in Diversity”.

On such occasion of immense significance, I encourage my fellow citizens to consistently promote and uphold the Sikkimese way of living.
