District Collector Mangan, Shri Anant Jain, called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan this evening.

During the meeting, the District Collector briefed the Hon’ble Governor in detail about various developmental projects in Chungthang Gram Panchayat Unit under Mangan District. The Chungthang Gram Panchayat Unit was adopted by the Hon’ble Governor last year for the socio-economic development of the area.

The Hon’ble Governor enquired about the progress of development activities under the Vibrant Village Program. He further directed the District Collector to ensure that all plans and projects are carried out in a timely and efficient manner to achieve the overall development of the Gram Panchayat and provide maximum benefits to the residents of Chungthang.

The Hon’ble Governor emphasized that the development work in Chungthang GPU should be reviewed on a regular basis.

आज मंगन जिले के जिला कलेक्टर, श्री अनंत जैन, ने सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल, श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से राजभवन में शिष्टाचार भेंट की। इस अवसर पर राज्यपाल महोदय के सचिव, श्री जितेंद्र सिंह राजे भी उपस्थित रहे।

इस मुलाकात के दौरान मंगन जिले के अंतर्गत स्थित ग्राम पंचायत इकाई, चुंगथांग के विकास संबंधी परियोजनाओं पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई। राज्यपाल महोदय ने ग्राम पंचायत को गोद लिया हुआ है और वह विकास कार्यों की नियमित समीक्षा कर रहे हैं।

राज्यपाल महोदय ने विशेष रूप से वाइब्रेंट विलेज कार्यक्रम के तहत किए जा रहे विकास कार्यों की प्रगति के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त की। उन्होंने जिला कलेक्टर को निर्देश दिया कि सभी योजनाओं को समय पर और प्रभावी ढंग से क्रियान्वित किया जाए, ताकि ग्राम पंचायत और उसके निवासियों का समग्र विकास हो सके।

उक्त भेंट के दौरान विभिन्न विकास परियोजनाओं के क्रियान्वयन प्रक्रिया पर भी विचार-विमर्श किया गया जिससे चुंगथांग के निवासियों को अधिक सेअधिक लाभ प्राप्त हो सके।
