The Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, Shri Murlidhar Mohol, called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan today.
During the meeting, they discussed various key issues pertaining to Sikkim and air connectivity in the state. The Hon’ble Governor emphasized the urgent need to operationalize an advanced landing system at Pakyong Airport at the earliest. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the commencement of flights by other airlines apart from SpiceJet.
The Hon’ble Union Minister assured that air services would commence soon and that the advanced landing system would be made operational at the earliest. He further stated that flights from other airlines would also begin operating from Pakyong Airport in the near future.

आज राजभवन में सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से माननीय केंद्रीय सहकारिता एवं नागरिक उड्डयन राज्य मंत्री श्री मुरलीधर मोहल ने शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

इस भेंट के दौरान, माननीय राज्यपाल एवं माननीय राज्य मंत्री के मध्य विशेषरूप से सिक्किम के हवाईअड्डे के मुद्दे पर चर्चा हुई। माननीय राज्यपाल ने हवाईअड्डे पर उन्नत लैंडिंग सिस्टम को शीघ्र शुरू करने पर जोर दिया और इसके साथ ही अन्य एयरलाइनों के फ्लाइट्स (स्पाइसजेट के अलावा) को भी शुरू करने पर चर्चा हुई।

माननीय मंत्री श्री मोहल ने आश्वासन दिया कि बहुत ही कम समय में हवाई सेवा शुरू हो जाएगी और उन्नत लैंडिंग सिस्टम जल्द ही चालू कर दिया जाएगा। इसके साथ ही अन्य एयरलाइनों की फ्लाइट्स भी सिक्किम के हवाईअड्डे से जल्द ही प्रारंभ की जाएंगी।
