A group of students and teachers from Delhi Public School, Lumsey, had the honour of calling on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan today. The visit formed part of an educational tour organized by the school.
During their visit, the students were given a guided tour of the historic Raj Bhavan, a heritage site that dates back to the 1890s. The students had the opportunity to learn about the architectural grandeur and the rich legacy of old Raj Bhavan, which has been a witness to many significant chapters in Sikkim’s history.
The teachers and students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Governor for granting them an audience and allowing them the privilege to visit such a prestigious and historic landmark. They also expressed appreciation for the rare opportunity to experience the cultural and administrative significance of the Raj Bhavan.
Interacting warmly with the students, the Hon’ble Governor enquired about their experience during the visit and encouraged them to take pride in the heritage of their state. He also extended his best wishes to the students for their academic pursuits and future endeavours, urging them to contribute meaningfully to society.
