The Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, Smt. Sarika Pradhan, called on the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan today.

During the meeting, they discussed various matters pertaining to the implementation of Central Government schemes under the Social Welfare Department in the state. The Hon’ble Governor emphasised the importance of promoting and preserving authentic Sikkimese products and traditions.

Following this , the Secretary extended a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Governor to grace the celebration of Ambedkar Jayanti at the Sikkim Legislative Assembly.

The Hon’ble Governor graciously accepted the invitation and extended his best wishes to the Social Welfare Department in all their future endeavours.

Present during the meeting was Commissioner cum Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor, Shri Jitendra Singh Raje.
