The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, called on the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, in New Delhi today.

During the meeting, the Hon’ble Governor apprised the Vice President of various ongoing developmental initiatives in Sikkim and discussed matters of mutual interest concerning the state’s progress. Issues related to infrastructure, education, tourism, and welfare of the people of Sikkim were also discussed.

Continuing the series of meetings with several dignitaries in the national capital New Delhi, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur called on the Hon’ble Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh at his office, New Delhi, today. It was a courtesy call on by the Hon’ble Governor.

In a brief meeting, the Hon’ble Governor discussed various developmental schemes, projects and security-related issues of Sikkim with the Union Defence Minister. He also briefed the Hon’ble Union Minister about the recent natural calamity in Mangan district where army officer and personnel lost their lives in line of duty.

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने आज नई दिल्ली में भारत के माननीय उपराष्ट्रपति श्री जगदीप धनखड़ और माननीय रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह से शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

इस महत्वपूर्ण बैठक में, माननीय राज्यपाल ने माननीय उपराष्ट्रपति को सिक्किम में चल रही विभिन्न विकासात्मक पहलों की विस्तृत जानकारी दी और राज्य की प्रगति से जुड़े विषयों पर विचार-विमर्श किया।

इसी कड़ी में,आज राज्यपाल महोदय ने रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह से भी नई दिल्ली में शिष्टाचार भेंट की। इस दौरान सामरिक महत्व के विषयों पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई जिसमें सिक्किम के सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों के सतत विकास और राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा से जुड़े हुए मुद्दे शामिल रहे।

इसके अतिरिक्त, राज्यपाल महोदय और माननीय रक्षा मंत्री ने हाल ही में मंगन जिले में आई प्राकृतिक आपदा पर भी चर्चा की।
