Students of Army Public School and Kendriya Vidyalaya Visit Raj Bhavan, Gangtok

A group of 92 students, aged between 5 to 14 years, from Army Public School and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Deorali, visited the historic Raj Bhavan, Gangtok today as part of their summer camp and educational learning tour.

The visit was organised by the Black Cat Division, offering the young students an enriching opportunity to learn about the significance and legacy of the Raj Bhavan.

During the visit, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, graciously granted an audience to the students. In an interactive session held at the old Raj Bhavan, the Hon’ble Governor engaged with the students, encouraging them to uphold values of discipline, education and patriotism.

The students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to visit the Raj Bhavan and interact with the Hon’ble Governor, describing the experience as both enriching and inspiring.

आज ब्लैक कैट डिवीजन द्वारा आयोजित समर कैंप के अंतर्गत केंद्रीय विद्यालय और आर्मी पब्लिक स्कूल, गंगटोक के 5 से 14 वर्ष आयु वर्ग के 92 बच्चों ने राजभवन का दौरा किया और माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से शिष्टाचार भेंट की। ये सभी बच्चे उन परिवारों से हैं जिनके अभिभावक सेना या आर्मी से संबद्ध हैं। यह समर कैंप बच्चों की गर्मियों की छुट्टियों को रचनात्मक बनाने के अंतर्गत ब्लैक कैट डिविजन की एक पहल है।

आज के कार्यक्रम के दौरान बच्चों ने राजभवन के ऐतिहासिक परिसर को नजदीक से देखा और राज्यपाल महोदय और बच्चों के बीच एक संवादात्मक सत्र हुआ जिसमें बच्चों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया और अपने विचार साझा किए। इस दौरान माननीय राज्यपाल ने बच्चों को राष्ट्र सेवा के लिए भी प्रेरित किया।

बातचीत के उपरांत बच्चों ने राज्यपाल महोदय के साथ समूह चित्र खिंचवाया। इस दौरान बच्चों के चेहरों पर खुशी और उत्साह स्पष्ट रूप से देखने को मिला।
