The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, participated in the auspicious Shree Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at Thakurbari Mandir, Gangtok, this evening.

Extending his warm greetings on the occasion, the Hon’ble Governor said that Shri Krishna Janmotsav inspires joy, devotion, and spiritual fervour among all. He added that the life, character, and teachings of Lord Krishna guide us on the path of righteousness, and we must strive to imbibe these values in our daily lives.

Also present on the occasion were the Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor, Shri Jitendra Singh Raje, Deputy Mayor (GMC), Smt Tshering Palden, members of the Thakurbari Mandir Committee, and devotees.

आज सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर गंगटोक स्थित ठाकुरबाड़ी मंदिर में श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी के पावन अवसर पर सम्मिलित हुए।

इस अवसर पर माननीय राज्यपाल ने सभी को शुभकामनाएं प्रेषित करते हुए कहा कि भगवान श्रीकृष्ण का जीवन हमें धर्म के मार्ग पर चलने की प्रेरणा देता है और उनके द्वारा दी गई शिक्षा को हमें अपने दैनिक जीवन में आत्मसात करना चाहिए।

इस अवसर पर माननीय राज्यपाल के आयुक्त-सह-सचिव श्री जितेन्द्र सिंह राजे, गंगटोक नगर निगम की उपमहापौर श्रीमती छेरिंग पाल्देन भूटिया, ठाकुरबाड़ी मंदिर समिति के सदस्यगण एवं श्रद्धालु जन उपस्थित रहे।
