On the auspicious occasion of Teej, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, extends his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim.

In his message, he said, “Teej is a significant festival that symbolizes the sacred reunion of Goddess Parvati with Lord Shiva. The festival is marked by elaborate rituals, fasting, prayers, and vibrant cultural celebrations that reflect our rich traditions.

As Teej brings families and communities together in joy and devotion, it also reminds us of the enduring power of faith and the importance of unity. It reinforces the timeless value of ‘Unity in Diversity’, which is the true strength of our society.

On this occasion of great cultural and spiritual significance, I urge my fellow citizens to continue preserving our traditions while consistently promoting and upholding the Sikkimese way of life, rooted in harmony, respect, and togetherness.”

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने तीज पर्व के शुभ अवसर पर समस्त सिक्किमवासियों, विशेष रूप से मातृशक्ति को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ प्रेषित की हैं।

सिक्किम में तीज का यह पर्व जिस भव्यता और उल्लास के साथ मनाया जाता है, वह हमारी सांस्कृतिक चेतना और सामाजिक सौहार्द्र का प्रतीक है।
