Greetings of Hon’ble Governor on the Auspicious Occasion of Bada Dashain / Dussehra
The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to people of Sikkim and countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra/Vijaya Dashmi/Bada Dashain.
In his greetings, the Hon’ble Governor said:
“I extend my heartiest greetings to everyone on the joyous occasion of Bada Dashain/Dussehra/Vijaya Dashmi. This festival symbolises the triumph of good over evil and the supremacy of Dharma and also symbolises the divine strength of women and their vital role as protectors, nurturers, and creators of life.
This festival strengthens our national integration and reaffirms our abiding faith in the concept of “Unity in Diversity” which is being exemplified by Sikkimese people, where individuals from all communities come together in the spirit of harmony to celebrate this joyous occasion. On such festivities, I urge all Sikkimese to move forward collectively towards building an inclusive society where compassion, mutual respect, and peace prevail, and where every citizen contributes to the continued progress and prosperity of our state.
I pray to the divine Goddess Maa Durga to shower her blessings on all of us, and guide the lives of my fellow citizens with happiness, good health, peace, and prosperity”.

बड़ा दशैं / दशहरा के पावन पर्व पर माननीय राज्यपाल की शुभकामनाएं
सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने बड़ा दशैं / दशहरा के पावन पर्व पर सभी नागरिकों को शुभकामनाएँ प्रेषित की हैं।
अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा,
“देशवासियों एवं सिक्किमवासियों को बड़ा दशैं/दशहरे की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ। यह पर्व असत्य पर सत्य की, अन्याय पर न्याय की, और अधर्म पर धर्म की विजय का प्रतीक है। यह हमें स्मरण कराता है कि जब संकल्प शुद्ध हो, तो हर बाधा पर विजय संभव है।
सिक्किम की सांस्कृतिक विविधता इसकी विशिष्ट पहचान है। यहाँ सभी समुदाय अपनी-अपनी संस्कृति का पालन श्रद्धा और हर्षोल्लास के साथ करते हैं।
इस शुभ अवसर पर, मैं कामना करता हूँ कि हम सब मिलकर एक ऐसे समाज की ओर अग्रसर हों, जहाँ अच्छाई, करुणा और समरसता का वास हो। आइए, हम अपने भीतर की बुराइयों को पराजित कर एक और अधिक उज्ज्वल एवं समृद्ध सिक्किम का निर्माण करें।
