25.10.2025 : The Governor of Mizoram, General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.) paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Raj Bhavan today.

The Governor of Mizoram, General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.) paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Raj Bhavan today.

During the courtesy meeting, Sikkim Governor extended a warm welcome to his counterpart and wished for a pleasant stay in the State.

Both the Governors held intensive discussion on the developmental activities of their respective States, focusing inclusive growth and enhancing regional cooperation in the North Eastern region.During the meeting several issues related to organic farming, environmental protection, nature conservation were discussed.

Mizoram Governor who is on a two-day tour of Sikkim where he will attend the Sikkim Soldierathon schedule to be held on 26th October, 25 at Paljor Stadium here.

आज सिक्किम राजभवन में मिज़ोरम के माननीय राज्यपाल, जनरल वी.के. सिंह (पीवीएसएम, एवीएसएम, वाईएसएम) ने सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

इस अवसर पर दोनों समकक्षों ने अपने-अपने राज्यों की विकासात्मक गतिविधियों पर सकारात्मक चर्चा की जिसमें विशेष रूप से, पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्र में समावेशी विकास तथा क्षेत्रीय सहयोग को बढ़ावा देने पर बल दिया गया।

माननीय राज्यपाल ने जनरल वी.के. सिंह का सिक्किम राज्य में हार्दिक स्वागत करते हुए उनके सुखद एवं स्मरणीय प्रवास की शुभकामनाएं दीं।

इससे पूर्व, मिज़ोरम के माननीय राज्यपाल का स्वागत ब्लैक कैट डिवीजन के जीओसी मेजर जनरल एम.एस. राठौर तथा गृह विभाग की सचिव श्रीमती बिनु गुरूंग द्वारा किया गया। इस दौरान भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस (आईटीबीपी) द्वारा उन्हें गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर प्रदान किया गया।

माननीय राज्यपाल, मिज़ोरम अपनी दो दिवसीय सिक्किम यात्रा पर हैं।
