On the occasion of the Bumchu festival, the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the Sikkim.
In his message, the Governor said, “On the sacred and joyous occasion of Bumchu, I extend my warmest greetings to all the people of Sikkim. Bumchu Festival is not merely a religious ritual, but it’s a symbol of Sikkim’s unique culture, faith, social and traditions.
The sacred vase (Bum) containing the water (chu) at Tashiding monastery define the fortune of Sikkim for the next year. The holy water is a symbol of peace and prosperity.
This festival reminds us to remain connected to our cultural heritage while fostering mutual cooperation among various communities. May this revered festival usher in peace, prosperity, and happiness in every home. Let this auspicious occasion further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, mutual respect, and brotherhood that have always defined the true spirit of our land.”
पर्व पर माननीय राज्यपाल का संदेश
सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने बुमचू पर्व के पावन अवसर पर समस्त सिक्किमवासियों को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ दी हैं।
अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा कि बुमचू पर्व केवल एक धार्मिक अनुष्ठान नहीं, बल्कि हमारे प्रदेश की अद्वितीय संस्कृति, आस्था और परंपरा का प्रतीक है। ताशिडिंग मठ में सुरक्षित पवित्र कलश से प्राप्त जल शांति, समृद्धि और सद्भाव का संदेश देता है।
गुरु पद्मसंभव की आध्यात्मिक धरोहर को स्मरण करते हुए माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा कि यह पर्व हमें आत्मिक शांति, आपसी सहयोग और एकता के मूल्य का बोध कराता है। यह पावन परंपरा सिक्किमवासियों को अपनी सांस्कृतिक जड़ों से जुड़े रहने तथा भावी पीढ़ियों को आध्यात्मिक मूल्यों के संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन की प्रेरणा देती है। आइए, इस अवसर पर हम अपनी सांस्कृतिक धरोहर को संजोने और आगे बढ़ाने का संकल्प लें।
राज्यपाल महोदय ने प्रार्थना की कि बुमचू का यह पावन पर्व प्रत्येक घर में सुख, शांति और समृद्धि का संचार करे तथा समाज में प्रेम और भाईचारे को और सुदृढ़ बनाए।
