In his message today, the Honorable Governor stated, “On this occasion, I extend my heartiest congratulations to all the citizens of Sikkim. Today, our state has established a unique identity as an exemplary model of peace, progress, and communal harmony.
The remarkable achievements Sikkim has attained in the social, economic, and infrastructural sectors are the result of the unwavering dedication and hard work of its citizens.
Today, Sikkim stands as a testament to how a balance can be established between development and nature. On this auspicious occasion, I make a special appeal to all the people of Sikkim to remain ever-conscious of the conservation of our precious natural wealth and resources.
Let us, while keeping our rich cultural heritage and the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ intact, reiterate our pledge to contribute towards the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ alongside the building of a ‘Sunaulo, Samriddha ani Samarth Sikkim.’

सिक्किम के 51वें राज्य स्थापना दिवस के अवसर पर, माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने सिक्किम की समस्त जनता को अपनी हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं दी हैं।

आज अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, “आज के इस अवसर पर, मैं सिक्किम के सभी नागरिकों को 51वें राज्य स्थापना दिवस की हार्दिक बधाई देता हूँ। 16 मई 1975 को भारतीय संघ के 22वें राज्य के रूप में सम्मिलित होने के बाद से, सिक्किम ने विश्व के सबसे बड़े लोकतंत्र का हिस्सा बनकर एक अत्यंत सार्थक यात्रा तय की है। आज हमारा राज्य शांति, प्रगति और सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव के एक उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण के रूप में अपनी विशिष्ट पहचान बना चुका है।
सामाजिक, आर्थिक और बुनियादी ढांचे के क्षेत्र में सिक्किम ने जो उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धियां हासिल की हैं, वे यहां के निवासियों की अटूट निष्ठा और कड़ी मेहनत का परिणाम हैं।
सिक्किम आज पूरे विश्व के समक्ष इस बात का जीवंत प्रमाण है कि विकास और प्रकृति के बीच संतुलन कैसे स्थापित किया जा सकता है।
इस पावन अवसर पर, मैं समस्त सिक्किम वासियों से यह विशेष अपील करता हूँ कि हम अपनी बहुमूल्य प्राकृतिक संपदा और संसाधनों के संरक्षण के प्रति सदैव सचेत रहें।
आइए, हम अपनी समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत और ‘एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत’ की भावना को अक्षुण्ण रखते हुए, ‘सुनौलो, समृद्ध अनि समर्थ सिक्किम’ के निर्माण के साथ ‘विकसित भारत @2047’ के लक्ष्य में अपना योगदान देने का संकल्प दोहराएं।
मेरी मंगलकामना है कि एकता और देशभक्ति की भावना हमें एक सशक्त सिक्किम और सुदृढ़ राष्ट्र के निर्माण के लिए सदैव प्रेरित करती रहे।
