Major General Rajesh Misra, SM, General Officer Commanding of the 27 Mountain Division called on the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhavan today.

During the meeting discussions were held on the progress of “Operation Sadbhavana and Ranbhoomi Darshan” initiatives of the Indian Army.

The Governor appreciated the courage and dedication of the Indian Army in protecting the nation and praised the various welfare initiatives being carried out by the Army for the local people and assured all possible support and cooperation from Lok Bhavan for such initiatives.

27 माउंटेन डिवीजन के जनरल ऑफिसर कमांडिंग (जीओसी), मेजर जनरल राजेश मिश्र,एसएम, ने आज राजभवन में माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से शिष्टाचार भेंट की।
इस बैठक में विशेष रूप से भारतीय सेना द्वारा चलाए जा रहे ‘मिशन सद्भावना’ और ‘रणभूमि दर्शन’ कार्यक्रमों की प्रगति पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई।

माननीय राज्यपाल ने राष्ट्र की सुरक्षा में भारतीय सेना के साहस और समर्पण की सराहना की और स्थानीय नागरिकों के कल्याण के लिए सेना द्वारा किए जा रहे सामाजिक कार्यों की प्रशंसा करते हुए लोकभवन की ओर से हरसंभव सहयोग का आश्वासन दिया है।
