31.07.2026 : The Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur offered his payers at the Shivalaya temple at Lok Bhavan premises.

The Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, completed two years in office today. The Governor assumed the office as 18th Governor of Sikkim on July 31, 2024. As he completing the two years of office, the Governor offered his payers at the Shivalaya temple at Lok Bhavan premises.
Marking both the significance of holy month of Sawan and completing two years of gubernatorial service in Sikkim, the Governor performed Jalabhishek and prayed for the well-being, peace and prosperity of the state.
In his message, the Governor said “Over the past two years, I have consistently endeavoured to move beyond the established traditions of Lok Bhavan by increasing the engagement of citizens with Lok Bhavan. It is always my endeavour to connect with all section of society and I remain committed to serving the people of the State.”
On the occasion, the Commissioner cum Secretary, Lok Bhavan, Shri Jitendra Singh Raje, officials and staff were present.

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने आज सिक्किम के राज्यपाल के पद पर अपने दो वर्ष पूर्ण किये, श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने ३१ जुलाई , २०२४ को सिक्किम के 18 वें राज्यपाल के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण किया था ।
इस अवसर पर राज्यपाल महोदय ने प्रातः लोकभवन परिसर में स्थित शिवालय में अपने सचिव श्री जितेन्द्र सिंह राजे एवं अन्य अधिकारियों ,कर्मचारियों के साथ पूजा अर्चना की, सावन के पवित्र अवसर व दो वर्ष पूर्ण होने के उपलक्ष्य में आज राज्यपाल महोदय ने शिवलिंग पर जलाभिषेक किया साथ ही प्रदेश के सभी निवासियों की खुशहाली व समृद्धि के लिए प्रार्थना की ।
इस अवसर पर राजपाल महोदय ने अपने संदेश में कहा की मैंने पिछले दो वर्षों में लोकभवन की स्थापित परम्पराओं को पीछे छोड़ते हुए प्रयास किया है की प्रदेश के अंतिम पंक्ति में खड़े व्यक्ति तक पहुँचने का प्रयास करूँ और लोकभवन में स्थापित प्रोटोकॉल को समाप्त करते हुए सभी के लिए लोकभवन के दरवाज़े खुले रहें , मेरा सर्वदा प्रयास रहा है और आगे भी रहेगा कि लोकभवन के माध्यम से जनकल्याण के कार्य जारी रहें ।
