In his message, the Governor said
“Janmashtami marks the divine birth of Lord Shri Krishna, whose life and teachings illuminate the path of righteousness, compassion, and wisdom. It inspires us to follow the path of truth, justice and righteousness. Lord Krishna’s message of performing one’s duty with sincerity and detachment remains a timeless guide for humanity.”
The Governor urged the people of the state to celebrate the festival with devotion and joy, and to imbibe the ideals of Lord Shri Krishna in their lives.
He prayed for the blessings of Lord Krishna to bring peace, prosperity and harmony to everyone and expressed hope that Krishna Janmashtami would strengthen unity and enrich the cultural fabric of Sikkim.

अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, “श्रीकृष्ण जन्माष्टमी के पावन अवसर पर मैं समस्त सिक्किम वासियों और सभी आत्मीय जनों को हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ।
जन्माष्टमी का पावन पर्व हमें भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के जीवन से जुड़ी दिव्य शिक्षाओं का स्मरण कराता है जो हमें सदैव अधर्म पर धर्म और असत्य पर सत्य की शाश्वत विजय का मार्ग दिखाता है। श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता के माध्यम से दिया गया दिव्य उपदेश आज के युग में भी अत्यंत प्रासंगिक है। निष्काम कर्म और लोक-मंगल का उनका दर्शन हमें निस्वार्थ भाव से समाज और राष्ट्र की सेवा करने की प्रेरणा देता है।
आइए, इस पावन अवसर पर हम भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के आदर्शों को अपने जीवन में उतारने का संकल्प लें। साथ ही, हमारे प्रदेश की गौरवशाली परंपरा के अनुरूप आपसी भाईचारे, शांति, सौहार्द और सामाजिक एकजुटता को और अधिक सुदृढ़ करें।
