In his message, Governor said, “On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, I pay homage to Dr. S Radhakrishnan who was a philosopher, academician and educationist on his birth anniversary and extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the teaching community. Teachers’ Day is a celebration of knowledge, compassion, and dedication. It reminds us of the profound role teachers play in shaping individuals and transforming society.
On the special occasion, my heartfelt gratitude and deepest respect to all teachers for their invaluable contributions in shaping young minds across the country and Sikkim. Despite of challenging and difficult circumstances our teachers continue to nurture, inspire, and guide generations with wisdom, patience, dedication, and selfless service. Your commitment to education and the future of our children is truly commendable.
Teachers are the true architects of the nation as they shape the destiny of the country and inspire generations of students and take the state to new heights in the field of education.
I also extend my heartiest congratulations to the recipients of the National Teachers’ Award 2026 and the State Teachers’ Awards.
Let us honour our teachers and reaffirm our commitment to uphold the dignity of this noble profession.”

शिक्षक दिवस के अवसर पर सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर ने अपनी शुभकामनाएं प्रेषित की हैं।
अपने संदेश में माननीय राज्यपाल ने कहा, “पूर्व राष्ट्रपति, महान शिक्षाविद् और दार्शनिक डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन जी की जयंती (शिक्षक दिवस) के शुभ अवसर पर, मैं शिक्षण समुदाय विशेषकर सिक्किम के हमारे शिक्षक समुदाय को हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ।
यह विशेष दिन ज्ञान, करुणा और समर्पण के उत्सव का दिन है जो हमें इस बात की प्रेरणा देता है कि कैसे एक शिक्षक अपनी राष्ट्र-निर्माण की सोच से पूरे समाज को एक नई दिशा दे सकता है।
शिक्षक केवल अक्षर ज्ञान ही नहीं देते, बल्कि वे हमारे युवाओं में नैतिक मूल्यों का सिंचन कर उन्हें देश का एक जिम्मेदार नागरिक और भविष्य का मार्गदर्शक बनाते हैं।
इस अवसर पर मैं उन सभी कर्मठ शिक्षकों को विशेष रूप से बधाई देता हूँ जिन्हें उनकी उत्कृष्ट सेवाओं के लिए ‘राष्ट्रीय शिक्षक पुरस्कार’ एवं ‘राज्य शिक्षक पुरस्कार’ से सम्मानित किया गया है। आपकी यह उपलब्धि आपकी निष्ठा, परिश्रम और शिक्षा के प्रति समर्पण का जीवंत प्रमाण है।
मैं सिक्किम के कोने-कोने में कठिन परिस्थितियों में भी विद्यार्थियों का भविष्य संवार रहे सभी शिक्षकों के प्रति अपनी भी कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करता हूँ।
आइए, इस अवसर पर हम सब मिलकर शिक्षकों के योगदान का सम्मान करने और राज्य को शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में नई ऊंचाइयों पर ले जाने का संकल्प लें।
