24.09.2026 : A delegation of government school teachers from various districts of Uttar Pradesh called on the Governor of Sikkim at Lok Bhawan today.

A delegation of government school teachers from various districts of Uttar Pradesh, under the banner of the Basic Education Movement of India, a non-governmental organisation, called on the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhawan today. They are in Sikkim for educational and adventure.

During the interaction, they appraised Governor about their visit and shared their observation and experiences on Sikkim’s unique culture and natural beauty.

In his brief address, Governor warmly welcomed them and highlighted various aspects and developmental initiatives of Sikkim including organic farming, cleanliness, low crime against women, women empowerment, environmental conservation, rich cultural heritage and sustainable development.

He mentioned about Sikkim’s best practices and policies adopted by the State. He also encouraged the teachers to continue to play a transformative role in nation-building and how they could contribute to the larger good.

On the occasion, teachers felicitated the Governor and expressed their gratitude for his encouraging and inspiring words.

माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से उत्तर प्रदेश के सरकारी प्राथमिक शिक्षकों के शिष्टमंडल ने लोक भवन में की शिष्टाचार भेंट

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से आज लोकभवन में ‘बेसिक एजुकेशन मूवमेंट ऑफ इंडिया’ (गैर-सरकारी संस्था) के बैनर तले उत्तर प्रदेश के विभिन्न जिलों से आए सरकारी प्राथमिक विद्यालयों के शिक्षकों के एक शिष्टमंडल ने शिष्टाचार भेंट की।
उत्तर प्रदेश के ये शिक्षक वर्तमान में सिक्किम की दो दिवसीय अध्ययन यात्रा पर हैं। भेंट वार्ता के दौरान शिक्षकों ने माननीय राज्यपाल महोदय के साथ संवाद किया और सिक्किम की अद्वितीय संस्कृति व प्राकृतिक सुंदरता से जुड़े अपने अनुभवों को साझा किया। इस दौरान राज्यपाल महोदय ने जैविक खेती, शांतिप्रिय राज्य, अनुशासित यातायात , महिलाओं की भागीदारी, स्वच्छता और पर्यावरण के प्रति संवेदनशीलता जैसे विषयों पर शिक्षकों का मार्गदर्शन किया। राज्यपाल महोदय ने शिक्षकों को निरंतर राष्ट्र सेवा के लिए प्रेरित भी किया।कार्यक्रम का संचालन श्रीमती वीणा सिंह द्वारा किया गया।

इस अवसर पर उत्तर प्रदेश से आए शिक्षकों ने माननीय राज्यपाल महोदय का अभिनंदन किया और उनके प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया।
