24.09.2026 : Ms. Mingma Lhamu Sherpa, a panchayat member of Kupup ward under the Gnathang-Machong Constituency called on Sikkim Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhavan today.

Ms. Mingma Lhamu Sherpa, a panchayat member of Kupup ward under the Gnathang-Machong Constituency called on Sikkim Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur at Lok Bhavan today.

During the courtesy meeting, Ms Sherpa apprised the Governor on various development initiatives being undertaken in Kupup ward under Vibrant Village Programme.

It is to be mentioned here that Kupup ward falls under Vibrant Village Programme in Gangtok district.

Ms. Lhamu expressed her concern regarding Vibrant Villages Programme, developmental aspirations and other public services related issues.

Governor assured her all possible support and emphasized that efforts were being made to strengthen infrastructure and create better socio-economic opportunities for residents living in border areas.

सिक्किम के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री ओम प्रकाश माथुर से आज नाथांग-माचोंग निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत कुपुप वार्ड की पंचायत सदस्य सुश्री मिंग्मा लामू शेर्पा ने लोकभवन में शिष्टाचार भेंट की।
इस बैठक के दौरान पंचायत सदस्य ने माननीय राज्यपाल को अपने वार्ड में चल रही विभिन्न विकास गतिविधियों से अवगत कराया। उन्होंने विशेष रूप से ‘वाइब्रेंट विलेज प्रोग्राम’ के तहत संबंधित विषयों, बुनियादी ढांचे, सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में आजीविका के अवसरों आदि की जानकारी दी। राज्यपाल महोदय ने स्थानीय स्तर पर हर संभव सहयोग का आश्वासन दिया है।
