02.11.2026 : The District Collector of Gangtok and Senior Superintendent of Police of Gangtok district called on the Hon’ble Governor Shri Dushyant Gautam at Lok Bhavan today.

The District Collector of Gangtok, Shri Rohan Agawane and Senior Superintendent of Police of Gangtok district, Dr. Tshering N. Gyasto called on the Hon’ble Governor Shri Dushyant Gautam at Lok Bhavan today.

The Hon’ble Governor engaged with officers and reviewed the administrative functioning of their respective departments.

The District Collector appraised the Governor about the administrative affairs of the district and various developmental activities being undertaken by the administration.

The Hon’ble Governor also reviewed disaster and calamities preparedness in district level and the challenges that arise during the monsoon season.

Similarly, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr. Tshering briefed the Hon’ble Governor on the law and order situation and the overall security scenario in the district.

The Hon’ble Governor commended the concerted efforts of the civil and police administration’s commitment to the holistic development of district through various initiatives and lauded the collective spirit in maintaining peace, harmony and law and order in the district.

सिक्किम के नवनियुक्त माननीय राज्यपाल श्री दुष्यन्त गौतम से आज लोकभवन में गंगटोक जिला के कलेक्टर श्री रोहन अगवाने और वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक डॉ. छिरिंग नामग्याल ग्यात्सो ने शिष्टाचार भेंट
की।
बैठक के दौरान माननीय राज्यपाल ने अधिकारियों से उनके संबंधित विभागों के कार्यशैली से अवगत हुए ।
जिला कलेक्टर ने राज्यपाल महोदय को जिले के प्रशासनिक कार्यों और विभिन्न विकासपरक गतिविधियों से अवगत कराया।
भौगोलिक रूप से संवेदनशील क्षेत्र होने के कारण राज्यपाल महोदय ने जिला कलेक्टर से जिले की आपदा तैयारियों और मानसून के दौरान उत्पन्न होने वाली चुनौतियों की भी जानकारी ली ।
