Hamro Sankalp : Viksit Bharat Pushpit Sikkim started with cleanliness drive at Raj Bhavan

 

To inaugurate the significant week-long mega event at Raj Bhavan, under the banner of “Hamro Sankalp: Viksit Bharat Pushpit Sikkim,” the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, took the lead in a Swachata Abhiyan, embracing Mahatma Gandhi’s principles and drawing inspiration from the successful Swachh Bharat Abhiyan led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. This initiative emphasizes the pivotal role of cleanliness in the nation’s development.

The program commenced with the Hon’ble Governor personally cleaning the Raj Bhavan’s mandir, followed by the cleaning of the old Raj Bhavan premises and statues honoring eminent leaders such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and Mahatma Gandhi. Through this hands-on involvement, the Governor exemplified his belief in underscoring the integral role of cleanliness in fostering the holistic development of our society and nation.
