Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Governor’s Pratibha Cup
In a gesture of profound respect for the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, initiated the hosting of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Governor’s Pratibha Cup at Raj Bhavan Sikkim, presenting a diverse array of competitions. The event showcased elocution sessions in Hindi, Nepali, and English on the theme ‘Viksit Bharat @2047,’ alongside essay writing on “Dr. Ambedkar’s Contribution towards the Development of India” in the three languages.
The final round of the painting competition provided a platform for the finest talents from each district of Sikkim to shine. A total of eighteen students participated in the elocution and essay writing competition across six districts, while six students showcased their artistic prowess in the painting competition.
The program unfolded simultaneously at various venues within Raj Bhavan, symbolizing a convergence of intellectual and artistic endeavors. Notably, the judges and invigilators of the competitions were government school teachers from all six districts, underscoring the commitment of the educational community to fostering and recognizing excellence in diverse domains in homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
