    Governor attended the 100th special screening of Mann ki Baat as chief guest, to celebrate this milestone of the program which was telecasted live by Doordarshan Kendra Gangtok from Raj Bhavan.

    The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Lakhsman Prasad Acharya attended the 100th special screening of Mann ki Baat as chief guest, to celebrate this milestone of the program which was telecasted live by Doordarshan Kendra Gangtok from Raj Bhavan today.

    The program began with a welcome speech by Shri Niraj Kumar Pandey DDE Doordarshan Kendra Gangtok, in his speech he thanked the Hon’ble Governor for his gracious presence, he praised the visionary visions of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modiji which has taken India ahead in paving its way up on the global platform and his efforts in reaching out to his people through “Mann ki Baat”.

    The Hon’ble Prime Minister in the screening of Mann ki Baat considered it to be a forum of celebration of positivity, thoughts, participation and unity of Indians from all walks of life. It is a
    seminar to learn and connect, a pinnacle of the hard work of the people. The Hon’ble prime minister also considers Mann ki Baat to be his spiritual journey, over the years it has taught the people of this nation the conversion of their views from ‘I’ to “US”, he added.

    Thoughts from eminent personalities of Sikkim were also shared during the program wherein it was learned that Mann ki Baat is looked up to as an “Inspirational” program.

    The Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya in his address in the celebration of the 100th episode of Mann ki Baat said that The program aims to provide a platform for the Prime Minister to communicate directly with the citizens of India and share his vision for the country. The program also allows citizens to share their ideas, thoughts, and suggestions with the Prime Minister, who often refers to them in his speeches, for nine years the program has been a medium to reach out to the people of India where various prominent schemes such as Beti bachao beti padao, swach bharat abhiyaan, vocal for local etc have been introduced and touched the lives of Indians from all spheres.

    He also mentioned with utmost pride that the Hon’ble Prime Minister in one of his Mann ki Baat screenings applauded the diverse culture of Sikkim and acknowledged the efforts of Shri Sangay
    Sherpa in keeping Changu clean and green. He commended Dr Madan Mani for catering to patients through teleconsultation and for having been in conversation with the Hon’ble Prime
    Minister of India in the 98th episode of Mann ki baat on teleconsultation.

    Further, he stated that it is a proud moment for him to be present here in between various eminent personalities. Mann ki Baat teaches people collective responsibility to take the nation forward. It stands as a platform of equality where thoughts and actions are shared to unite Indians.

    He congratulated everyone for being a part of this program and lauded the Hon’ble Prime Minister for bringing changes in the lives of many through Mann ki Baat.

    To mark the milestone of Mann ki baat as it screens its 100th program the Hon’ble Governor urges all the citizens of Sikkim to learn from one another and welcome positive changes as it comes and to imbibe the determination of accomplishing resolutions for a better and brighter Sikkim and India as a nation.
