                                                                                   CONDOLENCE  MESSAGE

Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Ganga Prasad has expressed deep sadness and grief on the demise of Shri Ananth Kumar, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Chemical and Fertilizers, following a brief illness at Bangaluru today morning.

In his condolence message, Hon’ble Governor wrote “I am deeply shocked and saddened by the news of demise of Shri Ananth Kumar, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Chemical and Fertilizers at Bangaluru, today morning.

Though I was aware of his illness, it was unexpected that he would leave us at this moment. Having served in different capacity in Bharatiya Janta Party and as Union Minister holding the charge of various ministries under Late Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government and the present NDA Government, Late Ananth Kumar was an able  administrator, people’s leader, true organisational man and one of the tallest leader of Bharatiya Janta Party from southern region of the country. He always represented the voice of common people of his constituency and beyond.

With his demise, the country has lost an exemplary parliamentarian, a nationalist and a statesman in true sense, who always worked for the larger interest of the masses.

At this time of bereavement, I join the people of Sikkim and my fellow countrymen to offer my deepest condolences. I pray to the almighty for bestowing strength to the family members to cope with this irreparable loss.”
