Dr K.K Paul, Former Governor of three North Eastern States of Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram, who is  also the Chairperson of Pranab Mukherjee Foundation Chair, Sikkim called on Hon’ble Governor Shri Ganga Prasad at Raj Bhavan today evening.Accompanying him were renowned Bollywood actress  Smt Shashi Sharma, Dr Parvej Hayat, IPS ADG BPRD, Mr.Maju Mathew UNOffice on Drugs &Crime Regional Head  for South Asia  and Dr Jagannnath Patnaik Vice Chancellor ICFAI University Sikkim among others during the occasion. 

 It was a courtesy call by Dr Paul and other dignitaries who are in Sikkim to attend National Conclave on Youth Empowerment and Drug Abuse Prevention for Healthy Living organised today by ICFAI University, Sikkim in collaboration with Pranab Mukherjee Foundation, New Delhi, at Mannan Kendra Gangtok.

In a brief interaction, the dignitaries proposed various youth centric programmes aimed at empowerment and mitigation of drug abuse among youth of North Eastern Region and Sikkim in particular. Hon’ble Governor assured to place the matter at the appropriate forum and suggested that such  initiatives be implemented through institutions of higher learning and governmental organisations.
