Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Shriniwas Patil has congratulated and extended his best wishes to Maj. Bishal Thapa

Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Shriniwas Patil today granted audience to a group of 15 teachers and 12 students from Government Jr. High School, Raley Khesey, East Sikkim at Raj Bhavan. The group was led by Mrs. Dawa Dolma Bhutia, Headmistress of the school.


In his congratulatory note sent to him at his local address at Namchi, Hon’ble Governor said, “It gives me immense pleasure to congratulate you on getting conferred with Sena Medal (Gallantry) by the President of India on the occasion of Independence Day 2017.


This recognition of your act of bravery serving the motherland has brought pride and joy to the people of Sikkim. The account of your courage and determination will inspire many aspiring youngsters in Sikkim to join armed forces.


May you continue to shine in your career and provide us with more such occasions to rejoice and celebrate your achievement. I also convey my warm regards to your parents for their sacrifice and giving their worthy son to the service of motherland.”


Hon’ble Governor has also sent a separate congratulatory note to the parents of Maj Thapa complimenting them for their sacrifice and hardship in bringing up a worthy son who has dedicated his life to the service of motherland.
