Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Shriniwas Patil today paid homage and floral tributes to Shivaram Hari Rajguru

Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Shriniwas Patil today paid homage and floral tributes to Shivaram Hari Rajguru, popularly known as ‘Rajguru’, on his 109th Birth Anniversary at his native place in Khed, renamed as Rajgurunagar, near Pune, Maharashtra.


Rajguru was one among three famous revolutionaries and compatriot of Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev, the leaders of Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. They fought against the British and were together sentenced to death on 23rd March 1931 in Lahore for their role in assassination of a British police officer J.P Saunders at Lahore in 1928.
